Sweet n’ Spicy Breakfast Sausage Pocket

Short description:

Flaky pastry dough is stuffed full of cheddar cheese, crumbled Ocean Spray® Cranberry sausage, scrambled egg, fresh herbs, caramelized onion, bell peppers and garlic then baked until golden and crisp.


1 tube pastry dough

¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup crumbled sausage cooked

¼ cup scrambled eggs

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary

1 teaspoon fresh thyme

2 tablespoons caramelized onions

1 tablespoon red bell peppers, small diced

1 teaspoon minced garlic


1 egg for egg wash


Preheat and oven to 400F degrees. In a small bowl mix together all the ingredients except the pastry dough.

Lay out the pastry dough and cut out 5 inch circles fill the pastry circles with 3 tablespoons of the mixture.


Roll like tortellini’s and brush with egg wash. Bake on a lined sheet tray and cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot
